Doula Support in every birth place
Whether you choose hospital or home birth, my presence does not shift with the setting. I remain steady, informed, and quietly attentive - so you can focus on your experience, not the system.

What does Doula Support mean?
Doula support is continuous emotional, practical and informational support throughout pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period.
Unlike medical professionals, doulas do not provide clinical care, perform medical procedures, or make medical decisions.
Instead, we help families feel informed, supported and confident as they navigate one of life's most significant transitions.
Every family is different, which means every doula relationship is unique. Some parents are looking for guidance and preparation, while others seek reassurance, advocacy support, or simply a calm and trusted presence throughout the process.
Our role is to walk alongside you — not to lead, direct or replace your medical team.
Pregnancy Support
I help you navigate the Hungarian maternity system
I can explain how public and private hospitals operate, what to expect during appointments, labour and postpartum care — and how local protocols may differ from what you are used to. You don’t have to decode the system alone.
I can support you during the administration process
From hospital registration questions to understanding required documentation, we help you feel prepared and informed ahead of time. Clarity brings confidence.
Pregnancy often comes with excitement, anticipation and joy — but also questions, uncertainty and information overload.
During pregnancy, I help families prepare for birth by exploring their options, understanding the maternity system, discussing birth preferences, preparing partners, and building confidence for the journey ahead.
For international families, this may also include navigating an unfamiliar healthcare system, understanding local practices, and bridging language or cultural differences.
My goal is not to tell you what decisions to make, but to help you understand your choices and feel confident making them.
Birth Support
I’m bridging language gaps
I provide continuous English-speaking support and, when needed, assist with communication during medical consultations and hospital stays. Clear communication reduces anxiety — especially during labour
I understand cultural differences around birth
I myself gave birth to my youngest in Qatar at a Cuban hospital - and I approach each family with sensitivity and respect. Expectations around pain relief, partner involvement, postpartum care and newborn practices vary significantly across cultures. I approach each family with cultural sensitivity and without assumptions.
Birth support means having a familiar, experienced and continuous presence by your side throughout labour and birth.
While medical professionals focus on the health and safety of mother and baby, doulas focus on supporting the emotional, physical and practical needs of the birthing family.
I provide reassurance, comfort measures, hands-on support, guidance for partners, and help families navigate unexpected turns with greater confidence and calm.
Birth rarely unfolds exactly as planned.
My role is to help you feel supported, informed and cared for, whatever path your birth may take.
Childbirth Education Classes
Class Format
Our childbirth education program consists of three interactive sessions, each lasting three hours.
Families may choose between:
• Weekday evening classes (6:00 PM – 9:00 PM)
• Saturday workshops
Classes are intentionally kept small to encourage discussion, questions and meaningful connection with other expectant families.
Partners are warmly encouraged to attend and participate throughout the course.
Preparing for birth is about more than understanding labour.
It is about building confidence, learning practical skills, understanding your options, and preparing as a family for the journey ahead.
Together with Amama Doula Practice, our childbirth education classes combine evidence-based information with practical preparation, helping parents feel informed, supported and ready to welcome their baby.
Our small-group classes are taught by experienced doulas, childbirth education leads and lactation consultants and are designed for both expectant mothers and their partners.

A note from Susie:
“As a mother of three who has navigated pregnancy and birth abroad myself, I understand how overwhelming it can feel to prepare for birth far from home.
My hope is that every family who visits this space leaves feeling a little more informed, a little more confident, and a little less alone.”
