Maternal Wellbeing & Pregnancy Support for Forward-Thinking Companies
Supporting pregnant employees is not just a legal responsibility – it is a leadership opportunity
Let Your Organization be Prepared
Pregnancy and early motherhood are not peripheral events in an employee’s life. They are profound biological, psychological, and identity-level transitions that inevitably influence workplace dynamics, performance, communication, and long-term retention.
Yet most organizations are not structurally prepared for this phase.
Supporting pregnant employees is not merely a compliance matter. It is a leadership decision that shapes culture, trust, and loyalty.
The Challenge
Many HR teams experience uncertainty at pivotal moments in the maternity journey: when an employee shares news of a pregnancy, when performance patterns shift, as maternity leave approaches, when a pregnancy loss occurs, or when a mother prepares to return to work.
These transitions are sensitive, complex, and often emotionally layered. Without a clear framework, even experienced leaders may hesitate, overcompensate, or withdraw from necessary conversations.
Most organizations genuinely want to respond well. However, good intentions alone are rarely sufficient. What is often missing is structured knowledge, informed language, and a practical approach that allows both compassion and professionalism to coexist.
How I support Your Organization
I design structured, evidence-based, and experience-informed programs for HR professionals, leadership teams, and decision-makers seeking clarity and confidence in supporting pregnancy and early motherhood within the workplace.
My work combines maternal expertise with corporate literacy, translating complex physiological and psychological transitions into practical, applicable organizational frameworks. Each engagement is tailored to the company’s size, culture, and existing policies to ensure relevance and sustainable implementation.
Services may include focused HR workshops on pregnancy and early motherhood at work, development of comprehensive maternal support frameworks, structured workplace guidance for pregnancy loss, and thoughtfully curated corporate gifting solutions for expecting or returning employees.
The objective is not only compassionate response, but strategic retention, mature communication, and long-term cultural stability.
Furthermore I can help expatriate employees navigate the Hungarian maternity system
I can explain how public and private hospitals operate, what to expect during appointments, labour and postpartum care — and how local protocols may differ from what you are used to. No one has to decode the system alone.
I can support them during the administration process
From hospital registration questions to understanding required documentation, I help moms feel prepared and informed ahead of time. Clarity brings confidence.
Why work with me?
I am ‘Susie’ Zsuzsi Suhai-Kóra, a Lamaze Childbirth Educator and DONA International Birth Doula, with extensive hands-on birth support experience. My work is grounded in direct, real-life accompaniment of women and families through pregnancy, birth, early postpartum, and pregnancy loss.
Before dedicating my professional focus to maternal wellbeing, I spent more than a decade in corporate environments, including the aviation and IT sectors. I have worked within high-performance, fast-paced international organizations, both as an employee and as an expat professional. I have also experienced pregnancy and motherhood within this corporate context, including navigating maternity transitions while living and working abroad.
This dual perspective allows me to understand not only the physiological and psychological realities of pregnancy, but also the operational pressures, communication dynamics, and performance expectations present in corporate settings. I know firsthand what it means to manage deadlines, leadership expectations, and cultural complexity while going through profound physical and identity-level transformation.
Over the years, I have developed a deep understanding of the physical, hormonal, psychological, and identity-level transitions that occur during this period. These changes are profound, often invisible in the workplace, yet significantly impactful on performance, communication, and long-term employee retention.
This is not theoretical knowledge. It is lived, supported, and structured expertise, grounded in both maternal care and corporate reality.
My approach bridges maternal expertise and corporate literacy. I translate evidence-based knowledge and lived birth support experience into structured, applicable frameworks for HR teams and leadership.

A note from Susie:
“As a mother of three who has navigated pregnancy and birth abroad myself, I understand how overwhelming it can feel to prepare for birth far from home.
My hope is that every family who visits this space leaves feeling a little more informed, a little more confident, and a little less alone.”
